Let’s go shopping: Aliexpress

¡Hola! Hoy quiero hablaros de un nuevo descubrimiento. Quizá muchas de vosotras ya la conozcáis… yo no tenía ni idea de que existía Aliexpress: una especie de eBay versión china que vende ropa (aparentemente) chulísima y baratísima. A parte de toda clase de ropa y accesorios, tienen lo que parecen ser prendas originales de tiendas como Zara, H&M o Asos. El caso es que, cuando vi aquello, no me pude resistir y compré dos cositas «para probar» :)

Hey there! I want to share with you a discovery. Maybe you already know this e-shop… but I didn’t have any idea about the existence of Aliexpress: it is like a «Chinese eBay» where they sell clothes (apparently) cool and cheap. They also sell what it seem to be original garments from brands such as Zara, H&M and Asos. The thing is, when I saw that I couldn’t stop myself from buying a pair of garments»just to try»:

Esta chaqueta tipo bomber Trafaluc ya me gustó cuando la vi en la tienda (sí, es de temporada!!!), así que cuando la descubrí por la mitad de su precio en Aliexpress (14€) me dije «tiene que ser mía»…

I already liked this bomber jacket from Trafaluc when I saw it in the store (yes, it is from the new season!!!), so when I discovered it for half of its price in Aliexpress (14€) I thought that it had to be mine…

Y estos shorts con print de leopardo me enamoraron, les veo un montón de posibilidades tanto para ahora que aún hace calorcito, como para el otoño. Cuando vi el precio (5€) aún me gustaron más jejejeje:

And these leopard printed shorts, I fell in love when I saw them! I see a lot of possibilities both for now and for autumn. When I saw the price (5€) I even liked them more :)

Aún estoy esperando que me llegue todo, cuando lo hagan editaré este post para contaros qué tal. La única duda que tengo es si las prendas que venden de Zara, son realmente de Zara o son copias… ¿Alguna de vosotras ha comprado y lo sabe? ¡Gracias por vuestros comentarios!

So I’m waiting for them, when they arrive I will edit this post to let you know how were them. The only doubt that I have is if the Zara clothes they sell are really from Zara or if they are fake ones… Someone who has already bought in Aliexpress can tell me something about it? Después de más o menos tres semanas ya me han llegado las dos cositas que compré en Aliexpress, me ha parecido que el envío ha sido bastante rápido. Os prometí contaros que tan, así que para empezar deciros que la chaqueta de flores ES DE ZARA, y si no es de Zara es una copia exacta… el tejido, el estampado, las etiquetas… todo es igual. Mi teoría (que puede que no valga para nada jejeje) es que Zara debe tener fabricantes en China, y éstos luego venden el stock que les sobra por algún motivo. Es que si no, no me lo explico… la misma chaqueta a mitad de precio. ¿Alguna de vosotras tiene alguna teoría? Y el short es una caquita, perdonad por la expresión. En la foto parece que sea de otro tejido, en verdad la tela es como de algodón sintético, y no son nada favorecedores… además son muy cortos y pequeños… en resumen, me los quedo como pantalón de pijama. Moraleja: Aliexpress es un chollo pero con cuidado, os recomiendo que no invirtáis todo vuestro presupuesto ahí porque puede que muchas cosas cuando os lleguen os decepcionen… ahora bien, para algún caprichito de Zara (o clon) a muy muy buen precio está genial. Espero que mi experiencia os sirva para vuestras compras :)

After more or less three weeks I have received the stuff I bought in Aliexpress, I think the shipment has been pretty quick. I promised to tell you about my experience so to start I have to say that the printed Zara jacket is A TRUE ZARA JACKET, and if it isn’t it is an exact copycat… the fabric, the print, the labels… all are exactly the same. My theory (and probably I’m wrong) is that Zara has some manufacturers in China who sell the rest through Aliexpress… the same jacket but half-priced… another theory anyone? And the short is not what I thought, in the picture it seems to be made by another kind of fabric… but the fabric seems to be synthetic cotton, and they are not so fetching… on the top of that, they are too short and small… to sum up, I will use them as a pajama shorts. Moral: Aliexpress is bargain but be careful, I don’t recommend you to invest your whole budget on it because you can be disappointed in the end. But it is worthy to buy some Zara bargains. I hope my experience is useful for your future purchases :)

Let’s go shopping: Trends fall winter 2013-2014

Como os dije en la entrada anterior, aquí están las prendas más trendy que podemos encontrar en las tiendas. Es una selección que sigue al pie de la letra algunas de las tendencias de la nueva temporada. ¿Qué os parecen a vosotras? ¿Cuáles son vuestras preferidas? A mi me gustan varias… por ejemplo, la idea de ir vestida de blanco/crudo en invierno me parece genial (Ay… nuestra Isabel Marant!) y también la mezcla de colores como el negro y el azul eléctrico. Hay otras que no tanto: no creo que me compre ninguna camiseta con print de dibujos animados… ya he tenido alguna (recuerdo una gris con la cara de Mickey) y me dan un poco de pereza…!

As I said in the last post, here you have the most trendiest garments we can find in the stores. This is a selection inspired by some of the main trends of the new season. Do you like the new trends? Which one is your favorite? I like some of them… for example, I love the idea of wearing a white total look in winter, I think is awesome (yes, our lovely Isabel Marant!) and also the mix of colors such as black and blue klein. I don’t like few of them: I don’t think I’m gonna but any cartoon printed tee… I have already had some and I don’t love them…!

Trends fall winter 2013-2014

Poco a poco las cositas de la nueva temporada empiezan a inundar las tiendas estos días. No sé si os pasa igual que a mi, pero tengo la sensación de que ponen lo más bonito de la temporada al principio, cuando aún quedan cosas de rebajas (aaarrgg lo hacen a propósito para que pequemos, como es mi caso :P) ¿Vosotras también tenéis esta sensación? A veces pienso que es paranoia mía jejeje… pero siempre que veo cosas nuevas me enamoro de más de una y no puedo evitar caer en la tentación!!

Os traigo un resumen de las tendencias según la revista ELLE que se van a llevar esta temporada otoño/invierno 2013-14 y mi idea es publicar en un próximo post algunas prendas que ya están en las tiendas, para ir haciendo boca :)

Little by little new season garments are taking the stores these days. I don’t know if it happens also to you but, I have the feeling they always put the most beautiful stuff at the beginning of the season, when one can still find sales stuff in the stores (arrgg they know there’s people like myself who are going to buy something new :P) Do you have this feeling too? Sometimes I think it is only my paranoid… but when I see new things I can’t never stop myself from buying some :)

Today I show you some of the season trends, I want to publish a second post garments that we can already find in the stores :)

Camel + Blanco (Camel + White)

Me gusta mucho esta combinación de colores, es muy limpia. Sobre todo para el principios de otoño cuando aún hace calorcito!

I like a lot this combo, it is very clean. It is a good idea to wear it at the beggining of the season, when temperatures are still high!

Cuadros (Squares)

Escoceses, de leñador, estilo college, estilo inglés… los cuadros nos inundan en todas sus versiones. Estoy encantada de que vuelvan! Siempre me han gustado para los looks otoñales más casual… aunque también estoy pensando, por queee!!! Por qué no me compraría los pantalones de Zara a cuadros verdes y azules super-mega-rebajados a 10€??!! Seguro que sabéis a cuáles me refiero… (son casi iguales a los de la primera foto) :(

Tartan, woodcutter’s squares, college style, English style… squares are gonna surround us this season. I’m very happy they’re back! I have always liked them for casual looks… but I’m thinking WHYYY?? Why I didn’t buy the squared pants from Zara for 10€ during sales??!! I’m sure you know which ones I’m referring to… (They are almost the same that the ones in the first pic) :(

Total Look Blanco (White Total Look)

Y quién dice blanco dice crudo. Esta vez la inspiración llega de la mano de Isabel Marant… me encantan los diseños de esta mujer, se supera cada temporada!

Or cream. This time inspiration comes from Isabel Marant… I love her designs; she is doing better every season!

Rojo pasión (Passion Red)

No sé si me convence este color para el invierno… lo veo más para primavera. Pero como en la moda todo vale, estoy segura que acabaré cayendo en esta tendencia, sobretodo para algún look de noche :)

I don’t know if I like this color for winter… I see it more for spring. But as in fashion there’s nothing for sure I’m sure I will like this trend, for example for a night-out outfit :)

Dibujos animados + prints varios (Cartoon print)

Es la propuesta de Givenchy, combinar camisetas con prints de dibujos animados varios con pantalones o faldas más arregladitas. Me gustan las camisetas con prints divertidos pero combinadas con algo más casual, como unos buenos tejanos. Y a vosotras, ¿os gusta esta tendencia?

It is the Givenchy’s proposal: to combine cartoon print with elegant pants or skirts. I like printed t-shirts but I like to combine them with a good pair of jeans. Do you like this trend?

Rayas (Stripes)

¿Quién dijo que las rayas eran solo para la primavera/verano? Desde luego no Prada, que nos trae este estampado al mas puro estilo pin-up invernal!

Who said stripes are just for spring/summer? It wasn’t Prada, which brings us this pattern in a very winter pin-up style!

Azul klein + negro (Klein Blue + Black)

Una combinación de colores que siempre me ha gustado, creo que es muy efectiva… ¿qué os parece?

Instaweek 4

Instead of Instaweek, this post should have been named Insta-one-month-or-two hehehe I haven’t been able to update the blog as often as before… nevertheless I’m still here and I promise to show you a new outfit as soon as I can (you know I don’t have my photograph here with me…). All these pictures happen to meet the time I’m living in Madrid, so you can see what my life’s about now: events, catwalks, fashion, beauty… I couldn’t be happiest! And even if all this has a deadline I’m trying to enjoy every day as much as I can :)

En lugar de Instaweek, este post debería haberse llamado Insta-un-mes-o-dos jejeje últimamente no he podido actualizar tanto como antes… pero aquí sigo al pie del cañón y prometo colgar outfit siempre que pueda (ya sabéis que no tengo a mi fotógrafo aquí conmigo…). Mint summer dress

Hello girls! I was feeling like sharing this outfit I wore last weekend with you. I loved its colour when I saw the dress at MANGO… and I had to buy it :) I decided to combine it with these jewel sandals I bought two summers ago… I think they are still pretty and they’re very comfortable. To be honest with you, I hate wearing heels during summer; my delicate foot can’t stand it out. I’m very jealous of these girls who are able to wear heels all night long… I wish I could do it too :) Thank you for your comments!

Decidí combinarlo con estas sandalias joya que tienen dos veranos ya… creo que aún son bonitas y muy cómodas. La verdad es que no puedo llevar tacones en verano, mis delicados piececitos no lo aguantan. Beauty Tips Vol. III

Here I go with another beauty post, this kind of post are always about my personal opinion about products I have tried. While I was studying my bachelor I used to work at Sephora, probably the most of you know this retail beauty brand. There I had the opportunity to learn about beauty, make-up and tips, and even I’m not an expert, I like to share with you my opinion about different products. Also because my skin is a kind of special one: it is very delicate, sensitive and a bit oily… thus I often find myself in troubles when I don’t use the right products. 

De nuevo un post de belleza, me gusta compartir vosotros mi opinión personal sobre productos que he probado. Mientras estudiaba, solía trabajar en Sephora, seguro que la conocéis :) Allí aprendí un montón sobre tratamientos, maquillaje, trucos… y, aunque no soy una experta, sí que espero que mis opiniones os sean útiles. Además, como tengo la piel muy delicada, sensible y un poco grasa, siempre tengo problemas cuando uso los productos que no debo.

One of my favorite brands ever is Estée Lauder, you knew in this post that I don’t like all their products… but some of them are really good. It is the case of the moisturizer DayWear SPF 15, I’m currently using it, both in the mornings and before going to sleep, together with the Perfectly Clean lotion. It provides the right level of hydration without being greasy, while it prevents the first wrinkles to appear. It is important to have a good moisturizer but for me the key is to follow the cleaning ritual, consisting out of 4 steps, which could be 6: normally one cleans + applies the lotion and moisturizes. But in my case, I remove my make-up in two steps (oil to remove + soap to clean), I apply the lotion, the serum and then the moisturizer.

Una de mis marcas favoritas es Estée Lauder, en este post veréis que aunque no me gustan todos sus productos… algunos son geniales. Por ejemplo estoy usando la crema hidratante DayWear SPF15 y me encanta, la uso tanto por la mañana como por la noche, con el tónico Perfectly Clean, que también me gusta mucho. Siempre es importante usar buenos productos, a largo plazo se nota, pero la clave es limpiarse cada día (y noche) la piel aunque nos de pereza (que la da!), siguiendo normalmente 3 pasos: limpiar, tonificar y hidratar. Aunque yo por ejemplo uso 6 pasos: limpiar (aceite para quitar el maquillaje y jabón para limpiar), tonificar, aplicar sérum y poner la hidratante.

Folk inspiration

Finally it’s Friday! I hope you enjoy the weekend :) Here it seems that we will have a rainy one… but anyway, I’m going to take advantage of one of my last weekend in Barcelona as I’m moving to Madrid in few weeks! 

I wanted to build a look based on Coachella spotted outfits but… I don’t know if I have been successful, what do you think? ;P
